Contemporary is the newest style of in history today.  The term contemporary simply means that has been produced during our lives, and continues to be produced.  This makes it contemporary to the people of this .  If you just so happen to have been 90 to 100 years old, there will be a period in there that will overlap into the art era.

Modern art was that of the impressionists that stopped around the 1960’s or 1970’s, which is when the contemporary artwork took over and is still being produced as of late.  One of the reasons that contemporary artwork took over around the 1970’s is because that is when the term “postmodernism” came about.

In is estimated that most people living in this era will never have to worry about a shift in artwork tendencies in this lifetime because it is expected to not Contemporary-artworkchange for at least another decade.  Some of the young children born in the future may observe the change into a new art era, but as already specified, it is estimated to come in over 100 years from now.

Many artists of today tend to produce art that mimics different eras such as modern art or , but the majority of artists all tend to stick with contemporary art, or at least throw a little contemporary twist into their painting.  This particular type of artwork has begun to take over the thoughts of other , and rightfully so seeing how it is the art of our time, but the artists of this era want nothing more than to enlighten others on all of the different that eventually led to the of contemporary art.  Arts in schools are mainly implemented around the contemporary styles and leading to the to teachings of all the other in history.
