I asked a question and referred to my dogs as my babies and got several rude remarks saying they're just dogs.Well what do those people do if they're dogs get sick or die,toss them and say or they're just dogs and get another one ?

Every animal we've owned since I was 10 (even the fish!)..... My little girl just had pups and unfortunately lost one, even he went to join our passed babies. We couldn't bear the thought of them being dragged to an incinerator and burned.
My dog's have always been my babies. So much so they all respond to ''baby'', ''princess'' and ''my little man'' as well as their own names lol
It is important to acknowledge your dog is ''a dog'' but only in terms of what they need, knowing they have only basic understanding of the english language, and understanding how and why they behave. There's no reason not to shower your animal in the same love you'd give your kids!!!
I was recently asked at a festival if I owned my little dude Smokey to which I replied - 'He's my friend and stays cause he wants to'. People think we're weird but quite frankly - screw em!! They're the one's missing out on all the love they're 'Just dog's' have to offer.
My pups give me just as much love, fulfillment and stress as the children of anyone I know do. Wouldn't have it any other way (^_^)
