I have to write an essay for my British Literature class. We need to use the quote "look like the innocent flower, yet be the serpent under it" explain it and find a modern day (recent event) example to compare things with.
I'm fine with the explaining, I just can't think up of any modern day examples from the news. Any suggestions?
Just on a side note: We can't use any people we know or make up a scenario. So if you could list specific examples that would be quite helpful! :]
I have a perfect example from the news in my home town. An 8-year old boy shot and killed his dad and his dad's friend because he was mad at him. If you want something more celebrity oriented, but less current, you could look at someone like Drew Barrymore who went to rehab before hitting puberty

Or the Virginia Tech shooter, who everyone said was quite and dorky, but was really a murderer
AND, if none of these are doing it for you, there is an entire show (called SNAPPED on the Oxygen network) all about innocent looking housewives who snap and end up murdering people.
