maneki neko ( good luck.. good fortune..) meant to sit like Ganesh ( hindu god over turns obstacles...) Yes.. I know what this means.. but my interpretation is different than yours obviously.
I like it...but go with what speaks to you, don't worry about my opinion or anyone elses when you chose your design. Think about whether or not you're still gonna love it in 20 years...if it's yes, go for it. Think about placement too...is it going in a spot that's trendy now but you might regret later.
