How do you do a house blessing?
We are buying our first home and would like to bless the house. We don't not belong to organized religon but believe that there is truth in all of them. We would like to do a house blessing to protect our home and all of those who will dwell within.
We do believe in God but don't believe one religon has the answer. For example, our wedding... we had a Baptist Preacher but I walked down the isle to a native american blessing for fertility and love, we also did a few things from other religons, we bought swords to protect our marriage and so on. We also believe in the female aspect of God.
We just want to do it ourselves.Why does a priest have to do it?

Our home was blessed by an Orthodox Archbishop and Priest, a Wiccan High Priestess, and a Native American follower of the Red Path.
