Anything about scott mutter's life.?
I can't find anything online. For my project I need to know his ethnicity, if he's married, when was he born, what kind of camera does he use?
~And you won't either, if you stay on this site. I got 100 hits.
He apprenticed under Johnathan Granger and several of his shots taken at Antietam were displayed in the Brady exhibit in NYC after the battle. In his later years, he partnered with George Eastman, and would have helped found the Eastman Kodak Company had Thomas Edison not lured him to Menlo Park to work on Edison's moving picture project. He used pretty much any camera that was available to him, asserting that he could make a photograph regardless of the simplicity or complexity of the camera, that art was in the composition and not a product of the technology.
